What kinds of problems does Madagascar face?
Although Madagascar is a beautiful place with a very large variety of wildlife it has major problems such as population increase, Natural disasters, corruption and lack of infrastructure.
Population:
Madagascar's population is ever rising and a population they cannot sustain, they are already struggling to feed their own people with a standing population of 22.92 million. from 2013 to 2014 there was a 647,111 increase in population.
Corruption:
During the 1800s and 1900s, Madagascar passed back and forth between
British and French spheres of influence and possession. The country
became independent from France in 1960. leadership in Madagascar has been a hard thing for the people to find and when they do find someone who is willing to step up it becomes too much. in 2009 democratically elected president stepped down from his leadership position.

Natural disasters:
Madagascar suffers from many cyclones, droughts and flash flooding, this has a massive effect on their agriculture and therefore affects their well being as it means they cannot feed their people. This wacky cycle makes farming difficult as disasters are very unpredictable.
Lack of infrastructure:
As of 2000 (Recordings), only just over 11 percent of Madagascar's roads 49,825 are paved. During the rainy season many of these roads are impassable and this isolates very large parts of country side. Most houses in Madagascar are make do and cannot stand bad weather.
